Merry Christmas from the MTC!
The MTC is a great place to learn. We spend at least six hours a day in class. And we have great devotionals. Our district has six missionaries. I am the only 19-year-old Elder! The rest are 18. We have two sister missionaries. I like my district and companion. We get along well.
Elder Russell M. Nelson visited the MTC for Christmas Day and spoke at a devotional. It was really great! He is over missionary work, and he talked about the growth of our missionary force. There are a lot of rumors around the Church about new missions opening up, and Elder Nelson made it clear that rumors should be ignored. The Church does nothing in secret; it always goes in the front door and will announce all new missions when they happen.
I am thankful to be on my mission and that I can spend this time preparing to share the Gospel with the people of Mongolia. I know that Christ lives and that He is our Savior and Redeemer. I'm grateful for my call to serve!

The Beginning
Welcome to my mission blog! For the next two years, the interested reader will find here thoughts and stories from my experiences and adventures in Mongolia. Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in the Mongol Steppe? To be a missionary on the other side of the world? To be an English teacher in Asia? You will find all this and more right here every week or so until 2015. I will do my best to keep them interesting and even amusing, as well as mostly in English.
So subscribe! Bookmark! Read and enjoy as I go to Mongolia and Back Again!
